In French, there is a term "mignon" which means small and cute or pretty in a delicate way - dainty. The first time I saw and held this doll, all I could think of is - ah "mignon!"
I don't know that it is any one thing - though the face is angelic. It is a combination of the small 9" size, with the simple, smooth cotton body that contrasts the textured hat. It is clearly a doll that naturally demands a gentle touch.
All Nanchen dolls are filled with which is wool that is strictly controlled, for example, the pasture is not sprayed with pesticides, and there is no fertilizer used in the soil.
